Job Position – Senior HSE Technical Engineer/LeadCompany Name – SparkThis key role will be responsible for delivering across various phases of projects, including Concept and Feasibility, FEED, Pre-FEED, and EPC scopes. The successful candidate will oversee the execution of project work, ensuring adherence to safety, cost, and schedule targets.Job Location : Abu DhabiType : Contract HireNote:1. Experience in the oil and gas industry is mandatory, with a preference for previous work in the UAE.2. Previous EPC experience and site-based project work are highly advantageous.3. Preference for the people who can join immediately.Key ResponsibilitiesExecute assigned scopes of work and coordinate with other disciplines across design, construction, pre-commissioning, and start-up stagesLead and manage the Technical Safety discipline teamProvide expert knowledge in Technical Safety engineering methodologies, software systems, and design practices related to FEED, Detail Design, Construction, Commissioning, and plant Start-upParticipate in HAZOP, HAZID, SIL studies, and other safety workshopsEnsure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental policiesConduct Physical Hazard Effects (PHE) modelling and Quantitative Risk Assessments (QRA) as requiredDirect Management of Change (MOC) reviews and manage technical safety deliverablesProvide technical guidance to the team and ensure high-quality technical safety deliverablesParticipate in audits, incident investigations, and provide site technical supportStay updated on relevant regulatory frameworks and industry developmentsRequired Qualifications & ExperienceDegree in Chemical Engineering or a similar disciplineMinimum 15 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry, with at least 10 years in an EPC companyProven experience in conceptual and FEED project phasesPrevious experience in site-based project work (construction, commissioning, operations, or maintenance) is strongly preferredExperience with multi-national and multi-cultural project teams, with a strong preference for Middle East experienceSkills & CompetenciesStrong leadership and resource management capabilitiesExpert knowledge of international codes and safety standardsAbility to perform and direct safety studies and reviews (HAZID, HAZOP, ALARP)Excellent communication and problem-solving skillsStrong focus on health, safety, and environmental complianceThis is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects and contribute to the safety and success of critical infrastructure.
