Energy Policy and Strategy

• Participate in developing the company energy policy and strategy.
• Disseminate energy policy and strategy to other Departments and Divisions.
• Track energy performance improvement in view of mid and long term targets (Current Year energy efficiency improvement target and beyond yearly plan).

Energy Studies

• Review and prioritize energy initiatives and recommend the best possible energy efficiency solutions which meet the company?s objectives.
• Initiate, coordinate and conduct energy efficiency studies to ensure continual energy performance improvement.
• Support in identification and execution of strategic initiatives and studies related to energy.
• Identify and manage energy optimization and energy efficiency improvement studies.
• Develop SOW in collaboration with pertinent engineering disciplines and sites.
• Conduct in-house energy studies, where applicable, or coordinate technical studies and services through consultant companies to ensure all work activities are carried out in accordance with contractual obligations.
• Provide support to the operating Divisions on issues related to energy optimization studies for enhancing energy efficiency.
• Coordinate with external authorities and parties on issues related to energy conservation to obtain information or provide clarifications.
• Support in the implementation of new techniques and technologies for Energy efficiency improvement utilizing industrial best practices and management standards.
• Assess potential opportunities to reduce company?s corporate carbon footprint by various means including application of renewable energy technology solutions.
• Revalidate studies based on changes in fuel and power tariffs.
• Support and coordinate Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) projects and any other projects & schemes related to environment and energy in order to reduce environmental impact

Energy Performance Analysis and Reporting

• Monitor and track energy performance improvement target for sites and Company.
• Monitor performance and generate periodic reports to plants, management & shareholders.
• Analyse energy performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support energy performance benchmarking across sites and other ADNOC Group Companies.
• Contribute in development and implementation of digitalization solutions for energy optimization & management, to facilitate standardization across sites, analyse energy performance, provide decision support and uphold Oil & Gas 4.0.
• Contribute in data analysis capability enhancement for root cause analysis and energy performance change quantification.
• Analyse sites? KPIs monthly reports to highlight significant variances for corrective actions.

Energy Management

• Maintain and improve Corporate Energy Management System in compliance with EnMS standard.
• Liaise with ADNOC for ADNOC Group Energy Management System requirements compliance.
• Support sites for their sites Energy Management System improvement by conducting energy management system awareness, setting yearly targets & objectives, identifying opportunities and reviewing sites? energy performance on monthly basis.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of the Energy Management System (ISO 50001) certification for new assets.
• Participate in energy management system audits and close Corrective and Preventive Actions
• Support sites to update and follow-up on continual improvement in energy efficiency thru the Energy Management System by conducting energy management system awareness, setting yearly targets & objectives, identifying opportunities and reviewing sites? energy performance on monthly basis.
• Provide guidance and technical expertise on all aspects of Energy Management System (ISO 50001).

Energy Efficiency Best Practices

• Participate in international forums to acquire understanding of energy efficiency technology and knowledge of industry best practices.
• Present technical papers in international conferences and forums;
• Identify and recommend innovative solutions to minimize environmental impact of company operations with focus on energy efficiency improvement.
• Identify and evaluate Best Available Techniques (BAT) and Technologies for energy efficiency improvement.
• Identify, analyse and evaluate new technologies for continual improvement of energy efficiency.

Technical Advice, Training and Support

• Participate in the energy awareness campaign and provide systematic energy conservation awareness training to technical staff located at different plant sites.
• Support Operations and Projects in the areas of energy efficiency to minimize environmental impact and enhance energy efficiency at all company operations by identifying and evaluating new technologies as well as participating in Energy review workshops in projects.

Energy Optimization in Projects

• Drive energy optimisation activities through enforcement of Project Energy Optimisation (PEO) Framework in all phases of the assigned projects.
• Review Project deliverables and participate in Energy review workshops to identify potential opportunities for energy efficiency improvement.
• Identify areas for improvement to the Project Energy Optimisation Framework to recommend changes for its enhancement.
• Support the activities related to corporate Energy Savings Opportunities (ESO) Management system.

Supervision

• Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
• Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective functional objectives.
