Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:Carries out detailed studies, reviews and prepares conceptual design requirements to provide the technical basis for new and/or enhanced surface facilities in the areas of enhanced recovery/pressure maintenance, gathering and distribution systems and associated process facilities.. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:Job Specific Accountabilities

  • Responsible for all Full Field Development Project, concept studies and provide basis/ input for FEED. Prepare Project Design Basis.
  • Produces surface facilities conceptual configurations for new oil/gas field developments. Upgrades and debottlenecks existing surface facilities, Includes reviewing production requirements with appropriate development teams and field operation specialists to formulate a study proposal.
  • Carries out approved study of projects design to meet production requirements/correct production anomalies. Liaises with contractors/consultants involved in the study/project to ensure study recommendations are consistent with Onshore requirements and guidelines.
  • Carries out studies to manage the field congestion due to wells and related surface facilities and proposes appropriate solution based on Asset Master Plan requirements.
  • Prepares assigned Project Identification Document (PID) related to well tie-ins (new and replacement flow lines), crude transfer lines, production / separation, gas injection, produced water treatment and disposal, artificial lift (gas lift & ESP) and other oil and gas recovery and production optimization methods.
  • Estimate flow line sizes based on complete hydraulic studies of oil/gas network considering all limitations of existing network like H2S blending, pressure rating and Material of construction etc.
  • Coordinates with cost estimation team to prepare schedule and level 3 cost estimates of the required capital and operating costs for each development concept for the full life cycle of the facility.
  • Provide specialist support to Asset on the application of new technology in areas related to production, injection and artificial lift and participates in feasibility studies of new techniques and equipment, where appropriate.
  • Provide support for completing the E-prognosis and DWS section related to Conceptual Engineering Design.
  • Participate is HAZOP, HAZID, Risk assessment, Value assurance and Design Reviews for upcoming and ongoing projects.
  • QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Minimum Qualification
  • Bachelor Degree in Petroleum Engineering or related engineering discipline
  • Knowledge in Pipesim, Hysys, GIS, Auto-CAD software
  • Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
  • 8 years of experience in petroleum engineering including at least 3 years in drilling and production operations.
