Job Description

Our client a well-known healthcare institution based in Abu Dhabi is currently looking for a Senior Data Scientist. In this role, You will work on all aspects of the design, development and delivery of machine learning enabled solution. You will handle team building activities such as recruitment, internships and conferences. You will motivate team members towards growing the impact of AI on projects across multiple modalities such as Text, Images and Speech.Other responsibilities will include:

    • Demonstrating advanced level coding skills and a developer of ML models
    • At times contributing towards developing elegant visualizations for data- driven story-telling
    • Constantly analyzing about adding new functionalities to our products and engagements
    • Showing the appetite to push for publishing and patenting our research
    • Motivating team members towards growing the impact of AI on projects across multiple modalities such as Text, Images and Speech
RequirementsTo be considered you need to meet the following criteria:
  • Minimum Ph.D. +3 or MS +6 years in AI
  • Ph.D. or MS degree with industry experience as a Data Scientist
  • Practice of Machine Learning (ML) algorithms and data mining techniques in one or more applied areas of Text, Image and Speech processing.
  • Proven Project management skills and usage of tools such as Jira
  • Experience in developing pipelines for both structured and unstructured data.
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team including Data Scientists and Software Engineers.
  • Experience with Machine Learning frameworks e.g., TF, PyTorch, sklearn, H2O, Spark.
  • Expert level programming skills in at least one of Python/Java.
  • Practice of writing papers and patents
  • Broad experience working with Educational/ Finance/ Health data sets are encouraged
  • Excellent communication skills, especially in English.
Please note that this opportunity is on a 1 year fixed term contract.
