Job Title: Senior BI EngineerLocation: Abu Dhabi - UAEMain tasks:
Collecting Data : Identifying relevant data sources, Modeling Anghami Data Warehouse, Designing Datamarts and setting up ETL processes;
Implementing new metrics and KPI in coordination with our business analysts;
Coordinating with the Business departments and external partners to identify new data requirements, analysis strategies and reporting mechanisms;
Undergoing advanced data analysis and translating data into actionable insights;
Generating reports and creating Dashboards;
Improving Management visibility on our performance for better decisions making;
Improving accuracy, reliability and business coverage of our reported numbers;
Designing, implementing, and maintaining Anghami Business Intelligence platform used to collect, analyze and report our data.
Crunching data, developing models, using statistical and descriptive analysis techniques, and helping the business teams and partners make data-driven decisions.
Required experience and skills:
Bachelors degree in computer science, finance, marketing, business, or related field;
3-5 years experience is developing Business Intelligence Solutions;
Experience in Data Modeling (ER, 3rd normal form and Dimensional Modeling);
Familiar with AWS cloud infrastructure and Business Intelligence solutions : AWS S3, AWS Redshift, Presto / AWS Athena, Apache Kafka, Apache Spark / Scala, Python/R, SQL, Airflow and ETL solutions;
Excellent data modeling and reporting skills;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Fluency in English;
Ability to work effectively within a team and independently;
Prioritizing time management and organizational skills.
