Job Description

A new opportunity has come up with a well-known institution in Abu Dhabi. Our client is looking for a Senior Asset/Investment Management Analyst, reporting to the Team Leader of Performance Analysis, will be involved in preparation, development and enhancement of the current Performance Measurement System (Performance-book-of-record) reporting to monitor assets under management. Provides reporting with high quality performance measurement & analytics, attribution, portfolio exposure, and ex-post risk statistics to high management and front-office departments, ensuring output is accurate and delivered within predefined deadlines. Identifies potential risks and suggest improvements regarding controls, systems in use and business management. Interacts with department management on performance measurement & analytics, portfolio analysis, reporting and other ad hoc requestsOther responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for the timely production and reporting of investment performance analytics, attribution, portfolio exposure, and ex-post risk statistics.
  • Develop, prepare and enhance of the performance measurement, analytics, attribution, benchmark and incentive target review, and contribution reporting for all investment departments, asset classes, and Total Fund.
  • Lead the development of customized & asset class specific performance and reporting requirements of the investment departments and Strategy Unit.
  • Support the team as the Total Fund Reporting subject matter expert on performance measurement and reporting for all asset classes while ensuring knowledge sharing, procedure writing and process improvements.
  • Whenever relevant, ensure reporting and performance methodologies follow industry best practice and/or GIPS principles
  • Diligently review various analysis, reports, and presentations.
  • Proactively identify efficiencies and improvements to existing processes and procedures.
  • Independently address issues arising from new systems or reporting implementations.
  • Work with investment & support staff, service partners, and vendors to resolve issues and/or ensure reporting requirements are achieved
  • Assist in the determination, implementation, sourcing and analysis of benchmarks
  • Carry out other similar or related duties as assigned
RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
  • Relevant university degree
  • CFA designation
  • CIPM or equivalent professional certificate (e.g FRM or CAIA) would be an asset
  • VBA programming, relational databases, SQL and Python a strong plus
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Performance Measurement roles. Experience in Total Fund or
  • Investment Strategy roles would also be considered.
  • Experience with Asset Owners and/or large multi-asset class asset managers.
