JOB PURPOSE:The Security and ELV technician (SET) will be installing, programming and repairing the different components of ELV and security systems that group provide to its clients.He will be responsible of the security systems? installation commissioning, termination and connections) and maintenance at client site and ensure they meet the overall client expectations and are in line with set standards of the Group.Candidate shall be able to train clients? users, configure the different software used and ensure 1st level preventive and corrective maintenance.Candidate shall execute instructions provided by its supervisors, team leader, and managers in the Group.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The following points are cover the key responsibilities to be performed, but is not all-inclusive. It does not preclude other responsibilities from being assigned and undertaken.1. Perform the security system installations (commissioning, termination and connections) to meet the client?s requirements, set standards of the Group and system design drawings.2. Lay and feed cables through access holes, roof spaces, or cavity walls to reach fixture outlets, positioning and terminating cables, wires, or strapping.3. Mount and fasten control panels, door and window contacts, sensors, or video cameras and attach electrical and telephone wiring to connect components.4. Install electrical components, equipment, or systems.5. Position equipment using hand tools, power tools, or heavy equipment.6. Explain use of products or services7. Conduct testing on the installed security systems to ensure that they are functioning as per the requirements and specification of the clients.8. Perform regular maintenance checks on the security systems to prevent any possible malfunctioning.9. Respond to client maintenance requests and repair/replace equipment as and when needed in order to keep systems in working order.10. Coordinate with clients and System Engineer to detect and repair security systems as and when required.11. Prepare daily, weekly and periodic reports on the completed security system installations, commissioning and maintenance activities.12. Provide guidance and support to other technicians.13. Work alone with minimum supervision and/or within a team responsible to the Supervisor.14. Participate in the Health, Safety & Risk programs including risk assessment of planned and reactive maintenance work activities.15. Use safe systems of work when working with all plant and equipment and ensure the same with the department and among sub-contractors and third parties.16. Participate in the department and the company meetings, trainings and team building activities
