Job Description

In this role as a Risk Specialist within the Risk and Governance Department, you will be a key contributor in, and risk partner for assisting in development and implementation of the risk management framework in Mawarid Group, whilst overlooking the overall governance functions . The role will report to and be supported by the Head of Risk and Governance.Risk Management Functions:

  • Drafting and assisting in the implementation of the company Enterprise Risk Framework
  • Analysis incidents and monitoring plans related to identified risks and inherent risk.
  • Identifies potential risks by analyzing data, observing processes, and communicating with stakeholders.
  • Recommend and advice appropriate risk assessment models or methodologies.
  • Coordinate with Risk Management stakeholders in enhancing and implementing a service model that meets the requirements of Mawarid Enterprise Risk and Control Standards
  • Contribute and Assist in developing an effective engagement model with subsidiaries to identify, document, and monitor risks via Risk Assessments (such as Risk Registers, Incidents reporting
  • Assisting in Development and implementation of Business contingency plans (BC), across different departments and operational units.
Governance Functions:
  • Assist in Reviewing and drafting policies and procedures, Charters and DOA`s across Mawarird Group
  • Preparation and drafting of Risk and Governance reports/ presentations
  • Assist in Reviewing the delegation matrix across the group and advising updates to Head of Department
  • Adopting and drafting changes to the organization structure/ hierarchy as instructed,
  • Assist in promoting risk management and governance across the group
  • Adhoc Task as instructed when required.
Key Result Areas:
  • Risk Assessments / Drafting of P&P / Preparation of Reports and Presentations
Communications:
  • Internal: Relevant departmental and subsidiaries Stakeholders, Head of Risk and Governance
  • External: Consultants
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Commerce or Business Studies or equivalent.
  • Preferred with Risk and Governance certifications
Experience:
  • A minimum of 5 years or more relevant experience
