Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Revenue Management Director to lead our dynamic team and drive revenue optimization strategies across our theme park operations. The successful candidate will have a strong background in revenue management, pricing strategies, and financial analysis, with a track record of managing high-performing teams.In this role you will conduct in-depth analysis and problem solving to identify risks and opportunities to optimize and grow revenue performance across all assets under management by Miral Destinations: Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi, Yas Waterworld, CLYMB Abu Dhabi, Qasr Al Watan and SeaWorld Abu Dhabi.Job Scope:Team Leadership:

  • Supervision and Team Development by providing strong leadership to a team of 8 professionals spanning three critical verticals - Pricing and Product, Business Performance, and Planning.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work culture, setting clear expectations and goals.
  • Training and Mentorship shown by continuously investing in the professional growth of team members by providing training, mentorship, and opportunities for skill development.
  • Performance Management: Regularly assess team performance, provide constructive feedback, and implement performance improvement plans when necessary.
Revenue Optimization:
  • Pricing Strategy Development in leading the development and execution of pricing strategies tailored to different customer segments, seasons, and ticket types. Collaborate with the Pricing and Product team to ensure pricing aligns with product offerings.
  • Review and Optimization by implementing a dynamic pricing approach by monitoring market demand, visitor data, and competitor pricing.
  • Reviewing and adjusting to market conditions and business performance to maximize revenue and yield, especially during peak seasons and events.
  • Promotion and Discount Strategy in overseeing the creation of promotional and discount strategies that drive attendance while preserving profitability.
Business Performance Analysis:
  • Data Analysis by leading your team in analyzing a wide range of financial and operational data, including ticket sales, guest behavior, and historical trends. Identify patterns, outliers, and areas for improvement.
  • Actionable Insights through translating data-driven insights into actionable recommendations for senior management.
  • Collaborating with various departments to implement strategies that enhance business performance.
  • KPI Monitoring by developing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) related to revenue and pricing performance.
  • Ensuring regular reporting and communication of KPIs to the executive team.
  • Optimal Park Operating Hours by working closely with Park General Managers (GMs) to define optimal park operating hours that maximize attendance and revenues while driving profitability.
Strategic Planning:
  • Long-term Revenue Management Strategy through developing and articulating a comprehensive, long-term revenue management strategy aligned with the theme parks overarching goals and objectives.
  • Short/Medium term Business Planning by supporting and lead the short to medium term business planning strategy.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Sales, IT and Operations, to ensure that revenue management strategies are seamlessly integrated into broader business plans.
  • Scenario Planning by anticipating market changes, economic fluctuations, and external factors that may impact revenue streams.
  • Developing contingency plans to mitigate risks.
Forecasting and Budgeting:
  • Accurate Forecasting by creating and maintaining precise revenue forecasts and budgets, taking into account historical data, market dynamics, and seasonal variations.
  • Performance Monitoring through continuously monitoring the theme parks performance against budgeted revenue targets.
  • Promptly identifying any deviations and take corrective actions as needed.
Technology Integration:
  • Lead new Innovation in identifying opportunities to enhance the use of technology and data analytics to refine revenue management processes, increase efficiency, and improve the guest experience.
  • Lead new projects as we identify innovative technology solution for enhanced dynamic pricing for theme parks and take charge of the project to delivery.
Market Research and Competitive Analysis:
  • Market Intelligence by staying at the forefront of industry trends, market dynamics, and changes in consumer behavior through thorough market research and intelligence gathering.
  • Competitor Analysis through monitoring competitors pricing strategies, promotions, and customer engagement tactics.
  • Utilizing this information to inform pricing and product development decisions that keep the theme park competitive in the market.
Presentation and Storytelling:
  • Effectively communicating the pricing strategy and approach to senior management, Park GMs, and other stakeholders through compelling PowerPoint presentations and storytelling.
  • Visual Storytelling by utilizing visual aids and data visualization techniques to convey complex pricing concepts in an accessible and engaging manner.
  • Stakeholder Engagement through collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners, using presentations to garner support and alignment on pricing strategies and initiatives.
To be considered for this role, you will need:Essential
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in revenue management, pricing, or related roles, across Theme Parks, FMCG or consulting.
  • 5 years of experience in a managerial or leadership position.
  • Proven experience with creating persuasive and visually appealing presentations and storytelling to effectively communicate the pricing strategies and approaches to stakeholders at different levels.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute revenue management strategies.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to drive results.
  • Familiarity with theme park or entertainment industry.
  • Proficient with PowerPoint, Excel and Tableau
Desirable
  • Masters degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field
