Job Description

Our company is seeking a skilled and experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the quantity surveying process on construction projects, ensuring that costs are accurately forecasted and controlled, and that projects are delivered within budget. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in quantity surveying, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and strong attention to detail.Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and review cost estimates, tender documents, and bills of quantities
  2. Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to identify cost-saving opportunities
  3. Manage the procurement process, including preparing tender documents, evaluating bids, and negotiating contracts
  4. Monitor project costs and expenditures, and prepare regular reports for management
  5. Provide advice on contractual matters and resolve any disputes or issues that may arise
  6. Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and ensure compliance with contractual requirements
  7. Collaborate with project teams to develop accurate project budgets and monitor financial performance throughout the project lifecycle
  8. Prepare and submit progress payment applications and variations
  9. Review and approve subcontractor payment applications and variations
  10. Ensure that all financial records and documentation are properly maintained and comply with company policies and procedures
Preferred Candidate:
  1. Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
  2. Minimum of 10 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably in the construction industry
  3. Proficient in using quantity surveying software and other relevant tools
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  5. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  6. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  7. Strong communication and negotiation skills
  8. Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders
  9. Knowledge of local construction regulations and industry standards
  10. Professional certification in quantity surveying is preferred
