Job Description

The Project Manager for Construction in the Oil & Gas sector is a pivotal role that requires extensive experience and expertise in managing large-scale construction projects. This position involves overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of construction activities within the oil and gas industry, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Project Manager will collaborate with various stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies, to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations while driving project success.Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
  2. Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  3. Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies.
  4. Monitor project progress and performance, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
  5. Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  6. Facilitate communication between all project stakeholders to ensure alignment and resolve issues promptly.
  7. Prepare and manage project documentation, including contracts, reports, and change orders.
  8. Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with project specifications and regulations.
  9. Manage project budgets, including forecasting and tracking expenses.
  10. Lead project meetings and presentations to communicate progress and address concerns.
Preferred Candidate:
  1. Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction sector, specifically within oil and gas.
  2. Strong leadership and team management skills.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  4. In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies and project management tools.
  5. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  7. Proficient in risk management and mitigation strategies.
  8. Familiarity with local regulations and industry standards.
  9. Commitment to safety and environmental sustainability.
  10. Professional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are preferred.
