One of our leading Construction industry clients in the UAE is looking for a Procurement Specialist who will be responsible for the sourcing of equipment, goods, and services and managing vendors. He will perform strategic procurement activities across multiple categories of spend, searches for better deals, and find more reasonable and good suppliers.Responsibilities:-Manage and coordinate Procurement, Supply chain, Contracting & Logistics functions and ensure that the below functions are executed efficiently, accurately, and in a timely manner.Prepare a procurement plan for extension material procurement coordinate with the program team and obtain approvals asrequiredExecute procurement plan in a timely mannerAlign all procurement activities with the procurement policies and the delegation of authorityPrepare reports on the overall performance of the Procurement and Contracting functions for thesenior management.Manage tendering process in accordance with the policy Record and continuously update all procurement transactions.Lead the procurement/ purchasing function and focus on continuous improvement in regard toproduction planning, and inventory control. Perform all duties in compliance with the policies and procedures. Develop relationships with distributors.Involved in selling off excess, damaged inventory and stock.Co-ordination of the provision of management information in relation to procurement activityincluding the achievement of efficiency and value-for-money savingsRequirementsQualifications and ExperienceAt least 10 years experience in Middle management procurement position At least 5 years experience in UAEBachelors degreeFIDIC Contracts experienceUAE Driving license preferredInventory and Supply Chain Management experienceAbu Dhabi Market Experience would be added advantageEngineering Degree and CPIM, CPM, Lean or Six Sigma certification would be added advantage.
