Roles & ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement procurement strategies that align with project goals and cost-saving targets, ensuring that all materials are sourced efficiently.Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, assess their capabilities, and negotiate contracts that provide the best value for the company.Collaborate with engineering and project teams to understand technical specifications and requirements, ensuring that purchased materials meet project standards.Manage supplier relationships effectively, monitoring performance and resolving issues to maintain continuity of supply and quality.Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring compliance with company policies and procurement regulations throughout the process.Implement and maintain procurement best practices, including supplier audits and performance evaluations to foster continuous improvement.Coordinate with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and minimize disruptions in project timelines.Desired Candidate ProfileBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, preferably with UAE Equivalency Certificate.A minimum of 4-6 years of experience in procurement within the engineering or construction sectors, demonstrating a solid understanding of industry-specific needs.Professional certifications such as Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) are highly preferred.Excellent negotiation skills, with a proven ability to secure favourable terms and prices from suppliers.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating strong organizational and time-management skills.
