Our client is embarking on a dynamic growth trajectory and is seeking outstanding talent to own either their Cards, Payments, BaaS or Investment platforms.Our client is a first-in-class financial platform that is changing the banking industry across MENA, as the Principal Engineer / Technical Lead you will oversee, expand, and manage all facets of your platform area, leading and building a world class team of engineers, tackling high-priority tasks and addressing complex issues, your projects will include launching new products from scratch whilst optimizing and maintaining their core systems. This unique role offers a chance to learn how to build and scale a business function.What will you be doing

• Architect and implement scalable, high-performance solutions.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and deliver on business objectives.
• Ensure the highest standards of software quality, security, and performance.
• Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to keep their platform at the cutting edge.
• Building Large-scale Distributed systems and Microservice architectures.
• Drive agile practices and promote a collaborative, high-energy work environment.

What key skills will you bring to the team

• Ensure the highest standards of software quality, security, and performance.
• Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to keep our platform at the cutting edge.
• Drive agile practices and promote a collaborative, high-energy work environment.
• Focus on best engineering practices for quality, clean code, testing & observability.
• Strong experience with JVM based languages and related technologies such as CI/CD tools, Containerization, Queening and streaming technologies, Cloud, IaC and observablity tooling.

You should apply if you have...

• Proven experience as a Technical Lead or Senior Software Engineer in a fintech or related industry.
• Experience with back-end REST API services.
• Ownership, accountability & proactivity - you build it, you own it, you run it.

• Strong knowledge of clean coding practices, including object-oriented and event-driven programming
• concepts.
• Strong knowledge of basic algorithms and data structures
• Strong understanding of financial/banking products, trading systems, and financial markets.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
