Principal Electrical Engineer - High Voltage Abu Dhabi , United Arab EmiratesJob SummaryExperience in an engineering consultancy environment covering both high and medium voltage electrical design.Broad knowledge of electromechanical, structural, civil aspects in electrical transmission and distribution engineeringIn depth understanding and knowledge of power generation and transmission system design covering 132kV and 380kV.Experience in designing high voltage network and substation configuration etc.Knowledge of the design of electrical transmission infrastructure e.g. 380/132 kV substations, 132/33/25/13.8 kV substations, Circuit breakers, Switchgear, Transformers and underground cabling infrastructure.Knowledge of both overhead and buried transmission system design.Thorough understanding and knowledge of application software related to transmission systems.Knowledge and understanding of international engineering standards as well as in depth knowledge of UAE and KSA authority guidelines.Be able to lead design studies with internal/external stakeholders, manage design process to deliver high quality deliverables.Contribute to effective project delivery through programme & resource management and change control on assigned tasks.Attend Client design meetings, kick off meetings, progress meetings, workshops, prepare presentation. Extensive client facing experience from bid stage through delivery.Prepare and review technical reports, feasibility studies, design calculations and drawings.Be able to mentor and supervise junior staff.Quality focused with innovative and sustainable approach to design.Excellent communication, presentation and technical report writing skills.Minimum RequirementsMinimum 15 years? experience in transmission line design in engineering consultancy.Chartered Professional (C.Eng.) and holding professional license/certification from the international recognized bodiesConstruction Supervision and Building projects background is not preferred.Preferred Qualifications* Bachelor?s or Master?s degree in electrical or power engineering.What We OfferWe will give you the flexibility you need to do your best work with hybrid work options.
