Job Description

Role: Principal Data ArchitectLocation: Currently in UAE, open to work from Abu Dhabi-WFO or India willing to relocateNotice Period: Max 30 daysExperience: 15+ years

• Responsible for handling the lifecycle of a big data solution, including platform selection, architecture and application design, testing, deployment, and requirements analysis.
• Design and evolve analytic technology roadmap, and ensure alignment with ever-changing business needs.
• Assist in the initial discovery of any new tools/capabilities of interest for future engagements, while monitoring new trends.
• Define best practices, guidelines, and integration with other enterprise solutions.
• Establish governance responsibility to ensure alignment to organizational guidelines for security, auditability, data governance and metadata management.
• Ability to build and contribute to data streaming platform.
• Provide technical oversight to solution delivery in creating business-driven solutions adhering to the enterprise architecture and data governance standards.
• Exploring data sources to understand whether they can add value to products
• Design platform that will improve data quality, metadata management, data governance and ensure driven by data principles.
• Defining best practices and patterns for data ingestion and transformation.
• Working with the data engineers to ingest, transform, and provision new data and contribute data architecture for digital analytics, real-time event sourcing, data contextualization, and running AI models.
• Build a framework of principles to ensure data quality, integrity across the business (including but not limited to Core, commercials, Operations, Customer 360, BI, Data warehouse, external interfaces, etc.)
• Ensure that the Data Architecture strategy and roadmap are aligned to the business and technology strategies.

• Experience on Big Data platforms and distributed computing like Azure, Datalake, Synapse etc.
• Experience in Data Quality Assessment (profiling, anomaly detection) and data documentation (schema, dictionaries)
• Experience in data architecture, data warehousing and modelling techniques (Relational, ETL/ELT, and ADF (Azure Data Factory) and consider performance alternatives.
• Aware of cloud data platforms like Azure and building architecture that leverages the cloud.
• Experience of architecting data solutions across hybrid (cloud, on-premises) data platforms.
• Design short term resolutions to achieve all goals and prepare data roadmap for management.
• Determine procedure to identify and collect all required data, validate process, and recommend improvements to corporate data.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills are essential, enabling easy interpretation and analysis of large volumes of data.
• A comprehensive understanding and experience implementing data solutions - metadata management, ETL, Data Quality, data lacks, big data, advanced analytics, data streaming, data visualization
• A comprehensive understanding of the principles of and best practices behind data engineering, and the supporting technologies such as RDBMS, NoSQL, Cache & In-memory stores.
• A comprehensive understanding and experience implementing data streaming platform.
• Experience of mapping key Enterprise data entities to business capabilities and applications A strong knowledge of horizontal data lineage from source to output.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
