Job Description

Title:Mechanical Rotating EngineerJob Overview:Study and develop conceptual designs, prepare detailed engineering solutions, plan, monitor and coordinate all assigned modifications (projects) with project team for a wide range of tasks related to discipline scope. Act as a key focal point for in-house /subcontracted engineering. Review of engineering studies conducted in line with defined requirements, industry best practices and contractual agreementsTask & Responsibilities:

• Perform engineering, design, support procurement, review engineering documents and follow up with vendors, support pre-commissioning and commissioning of rotating equipment for brownfield and greenfield projects
• Review and raise clarifications on the ITB /Client documents/ Contractual documents in case of ambiguity in definition / lack of clarity / lack of reference/ areas of doubt etc. based on experience /judgment.
• Keep abreast of Industry Codes & Standards (API 610, 682, 612, 611, 617, 618, 619, 673, 674, 675, 676) and Guidelines related to rotating equipment.
• Prepare datasheets, technical specification, technical requisitions, technical bid evaluations for Engineering, Selection and Procurement assistance of Rotary Equipment & Packages like Pumps (Centrifugal, Screw, Reciprocating, Metering & Fire water), Compressors (Centrifugal, Screw and Reciprocating), Generators (Diesel & Gas engine/ Gas Turbines), Drivers (Gas Turbines, Motor & Engines), Fans, Blower, Agitators, Handling equipment (Cranes, Hoists)
• Follow up on technical scope of work of vendors & support process engineers in selecting type of rotating equipment.
• Perform calculations on its power requirements.
• Perform and lead kick-off meetings with Vendors.
• Familiarity with material selection in different services (Wet CO2 service, sour service, lowtemperature service, toxic service, etc.
• Meet project expectations in a timely manner and within the budget limits. Co-ordination with intra / inter disciplinary team and provide the required deliverables as and when requested.
• Advise and assist project and discipline engineers with the interpretation and clarification of applicable industry Codes and Client Specification requirements.
• Understand fabrication process, critical element/ critical path and how its influence the delivery of equipment
• Witness Vendor FAT / shop testing, and review test reports and provide relevant comments.
• Provide costsaving options measures during project execution phase or during proposal, if requested, and if available.
• Actively participate in the equipment / project HAZOP and close+
• out of any action points.

• BE Mechanical with minimum 10 years Industrial experience
• In depth knowledge of industry international codes and standards such as ASME, API, NFPA, NACE, PIP, ANSI, ISO
• Good knowledge of discipline design/engineering with wide experience in different discipline areas.

• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
