If this got you excited, please keep reading!The opportunity: A Market Surveillance Analyst is responsible for monitoring market participants trading activities to ensure compliance with regulations, detect potential market abuse, and maintain the integrity of markets. The role is critical in maintaining a fair and transparent trading environment.Responsibilities:

  • Monitor trading activities in M2 MTF to identify unusual trading Behaviour, potential market abuse, and violations.
  • Analyse market data, trading patterns, and relevant information to detect anomalies and suspicious activities.
  • Stay updated on ADGM regulations and other markets best practices to ensure compliance.
  • Assist in developing and implementing surveillance procedures and protocols to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct thorough investigations of alerts, identifying suspicious trading activities and coordinating with internal teams, as necessary.
  • Assist in preparing reports and documenting findings for management and regulatory bodies.
  • Utilize the Eventus Surveillance System to efficiently monitor and analyse large volumes of trading data.
  • Contribute to developing and enhancing of surveillance systems.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including but not limited to internal compliance teams, product team, and trading team, to address trading issues related to potential market abuse.
  • Assist in identifying and assessing potential risks related to market surveillance and recommend risk mitigation controls.
Qualifications:
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in trading, order book reading, market surveillance, compliance, and risk management in cryptocurrency and/or traditional finance assets.
  • Thorough understanding of markets, trading strategies, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Familiarity with market structure and Market Abuse Regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for interpreting complex data and identifying irregularities.
  • Excellent communication skills for conveying findings and insights on trading terminologies.
  • Proficient in using surveillance tools, data analytics and market data feeds.
  • Keen attention to detail that is crucial for identifying potential market abuses and irregularities.
  • A team player collaborates effectively with others to achieve common goals.
