Job Description

Manager Technical Training - Technical Ops Manager Technical Training - Technical Ops Location: Abu Dhabi, AE #job-location.job-location-inline { display: inline; }SynopsisThe Manager Technical Training (MTT) reports to Head of Technical Operations ? Technical, to support him in his role in ensuring that Etihad is meeting all regulatory and company training requirements, in accordance with CAR/Part 145, CAR M and other providers/customer requirements, The Manager Technical Training is also responsible for the management of Technical Training Contracts and for the competency standards of the operational team.Accountabilities

  • Management and surveillance of contracted training functions to uphold regularity and internal standards.
  • Conducts an annual Training Needs Analysis (TNA) each year to capture the training demand for the following year and coordinates all the emerging training demands from the business areas.
  • Periodic monitoring of technical training providers, ensuring that technical training services from providers meet the regulatory needs and contractual obligations.
  • Coordinates the development or updates to all Etihad training products to ensure continued compliance with regulative requirements.
  • Ensures that all 145 and CAMO training records are current and reflected on the appropriate system.
  • Manages all Etihad?s OEM?s credits for Technical Training.
  • Reviews and forwards to Quality Assurance for approval, maintenance procedures and training material to ensure regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Familiar with, enforces and follows the procedures stipulated in the Safety & Quality Management Manual System (SQMM) and becomes an active participant in the workplace safety program. Encourages colleagues and is actively involved in the promotion of a positive reporting culture, by reporting any unsafe acts, unsafe conditions or safety risks.
Education & Experience
  • Relevant Engineering Degree, Electrical, Mechanical, aerospace and/or Maintenance Engineer License with Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance & Engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in training within an Approved Maintenance Training Organisation (AMTO), or Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) for large commercial transport aircraft.
  • Formal knowledge in aircraft maintenance and engineering with emphasis to CAR 66/CAR 145/CAR 147/ CAR M Regulations.
  • Formal Instructor training (preferable)
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
