Job Description

Manager Financial Planning & Analysis Manager Financial Planning & Analysis Location: Abu Dhabi, AE #job-location.job-location-inline { display: inline; }SynopsisResponsible for managing the Group?s long-term financial reporting through budgeting and medium & long-term forecasting of financials; and effective management reporting to finance business partners, executive leadership team and the board.Preparation and review of the Board & Executive Committee decks, including but not limited to Budget pack and 5 year plan pack, in close collaboration with Finance Business Partners, Financial Reporting, Treasury and CFOAccountabilities

  • Accountable for end to end for budgeting and long-term planning activities and processes
  • Requires working with Chiefs, VPs, HODs, Senior Managers on a regular basis, particularly with Finance Business Partners, Financial Reporting, Treasury, Corporate Strategy and other stakeholders as and when required
  • Identify key assumptions, risks and estimates in budgets and long-term planning to discuss with Head & VP FP&A and highlight to the CFO. Take decisions on roadblocks for management on ad-hoc reports
  • Set-up future finance roadmap to incorporate Long Term Planning and consolidation at EAG level in desired planning tool system appending to Finance Data Warehouse (FDW)
  • Highlight risks and opportunities in business proposals to assist management in evaluating impact on business. Challenge assumptions, propose revisions and suggest alternative options
  • Carry out valuations of EAG subsidiaries to assist in impairment exercise for financial reporting at year end and apprise management of company?s assets to assist in strategic decision making
  • Development of business information tools through close liaison with management reporting for EAG long-term planning
  • Ensure internal control and compliance with all Group policies and procedures and assist internal audit for ad-hoc requests on data sharing for owned processes
Education & Experience
  • Must have at least a Master?s Degree in Business/Finance and a professional qualification such as CA, CIMA, MBA or ACCA
  • Minimum of 7 years of work experience with at least 5 years in accounting, finance, budgeting and/or forecasting (preferred 3 years airline experience)
  • Proficient in building and managing large excel models and system tools
  • Experience and use of decision support tools; coaching others in their development and use
  • Strong experience in financial planning and control
  • Ability to make decisions and recommendations based on data and analysis as well as maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to apply governance, risk and compliance components
  • Advanced communication skills ? English (verbal and writing); fluency in Arabic is an advantage
