Job Description

JOB PURPOSE: Perform the day-to-day related activities that ensures implementation of all AML/CFT and Sanction Policy, and KYC Manual/Policy and Procedures including but not limited to transaction monitoring (TM) and customer screening.Review and appropriately action assigned TM and screening alerts, and any highlighted suspicious transaction(s) within the agreed SLA.Actively support and assist the line supervisor with the review of higher risk customers by gathering additional information or performing follow-ups on investigation of activities.Execute periodic reprofiling of customers basis of their risk classificationAttend all Mandatory and related training to attain insight of Magnatis businesses, products, services as well as compliance requirementsMaintain an ongoing relationship and work in close contact with Business and other relevant functions to ensure appropriate support is provided on pending documents, follow-ups, and on-going investigations, among others.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Strategic ContributionSupport the implementation of Compliances AML/CFT and Sanctions program.Report to line supervisor without delay any issues identified inrelation to AML/CFT and Sanctions program, KYC processes and system issues.People ManagementNot applicableBudgeting and Financial PlanningNot applicablePolicies, Systems, Process & ProceduresSupport Compliance Team in the implementation of AML/CFT and Sanctions policies, procedures, and processes.Continuous ImprovementIdentify opportunities for continuous improvement related to systems, processes and practices based on deficiencies identified, if any.ReportingNot applicableJob Context Appropriate closure of assigned TM and screening alerts within the agreed SLADeliver high standard of quality in all KYC review within the predefined SLA, and in line with Magnatis KYC manual/policies and procedures.Arrange and prepare required documents including but may not be limited to EDD form, PEP/FPEP approval form, Customer Risk Assessment Methodology (CRAM) tool form, and then Liaise with line supervisor forapproval of higher risk customersPerform customer screening on scheduled, periodic and ad-hoc basis.Ensure timely escalation and own proposed course of actions to line supervisor to addressidentified risks and red flags, if any, during the review of customers documentation at the time of onboarding or during reprofiling processDevelop good understanding of the overall KYC requirements and operational processes and support the team in all KYC related inquiries from stakeholders.Embrace continuous changes and challenges and handle various initiatives and ad-hoc projectsas assigned by the line supervisor.Work in close and continuous collaboration with other team members and stakeholders toachieve predefined objectives and resolve any issues during daily tasks.Track all assigned requests from different stakeholders and ensure to respond within the agreed timelineFollow up on any missing information or documents that may be required for the completion of KYC review, both at the time of onboarding and during the reprofiling process and/or for resolution of TM or customer screening alerts. QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: Core CompetenciesAn understanding of AML/CFT and Sanctions regulations and legislations/laws.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerpointWell-developed interpersonal, problem-solving, and time-management skillsStrong ability to work as a team player.Ability to cope with and thrive in a non-routine environment and think creativelyGood written and verbal skillsMinimum QualificationBachelors degree or higher.Certification(s) in AML and Compliance or similar are preferable.Minimum ExperienceMinimum of 3 years of working experience in a financial institution including bank and non-bank financial institutions with a combination of experience in Compliance (FCC, Regulatory and Business Compliance Experience), payments, retail banking products like credit cards, prepaid/WPS cards and E-wallets.
