Job Description

One of our clients in the UAE, is currently looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor to be based in Abu Dhabi.In this role, your responsibility would include but not limited to:

  • Conducts orientation training and in-service training to explain policies, work procedures and to demonstrate use and maintenance of equipment
  • Inventories stock to ensure adequate supplies.
  • Responsible for assigning and supervising the activities of the public area staff to ensure clean, orderly and attractive corridors, stairways and comfort rooms.
  • Supervise work activities of cleaning personnel to ensure clean, orderly and attractive rooms in hotel.
  • Assign duties, inspect work and investigate complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment and take corrective action.
  • Assigning cleaning task, checking that the work is done properly and producing reports representing the hours work by the employees.
  • Ensures that the housekeeping unit operates efficiently, meets performance goals, timelines and standards.
  • Respond and coordinate guest request.
  • Provide a safe and healthy environment for both guests and staff.
  • Reporting maintenance problems.
  • Attend to the issuance of uniforms as well as guestrooms, restaurant and banquet linen, cleaning materials, supplies as well as guestroom amenities
  • Look into the proper arrangement and storage of linen, uniforms and general supplies in the linen room.
  • Perform side duties like mending, repair of uniforms and babysitting.
  • Receive all surrendered linen items, check if they are complete and in good condition and endorse soiled items to Laundry Section for laundry.
  • Performs cleaning duties in cases of emergency or staff shortage.
RequirementsTo be considered, you need to meet the following requirements:
  • Willingness to work a variety of day/night and weekend shifts.
  • Able to communicate properly in English language.
  • Excellent people skills
  • In-depth knowledge of the methods and products used in cleaning.
  • Thorough understanding of safety precautions in all housekeeping services.
  • Skilled in operating a variety of mechanized cleaning equipment, such as vacuums and floor polisher.
  • Willing to work in Abu Dhabi
