ORGANIZER. ENTREPRENEUR. MOTIVATOR.Organizing and managing international, technically fascinating heavy lifting projects - thats what you do as a Heavy Lift Engineer at Sarens Projects! For this you can count on competent, collegial teammates and a rich fleet of technical equipment (including cranes, pontoons, SPMTs, skidding systems...). A job that can continue to fascinate in the long term thanks to the variation in different areas: diverse projects within various sectors, wide range of tasks (desk work / action in the field) and location (Middle East / International).#NOTHING TOO HEAVY, NOTHING TOO HIGH.Due to strong growth and a number of additional challenging projects, we are looking for a driven school-leaver who wants to take his first steps as a Project Engineer. You will start in a training program in which you will follow various courses, obtain certificates, participate in various departments and on the field... With the necessary coaching and internal training, you will then work as an independent Project Engineer within Sarens Projects, starting with smaller projects and later evolving into larger projects.YOUR FUTURE TASK AS A HEAVY LIFT ENGINEER:

  • Acting as a point of contact for the customer: discussing the request, providing explanations?
  • Preparing the project technically and operationally: devising a technical solution, performing calculations, drawing it yourself or commissioning a CAD Designer, organizing the logistics, drawing up specific SHEQ documentation for the project?
  • Project follow-up in terms of operational progress, ?budget ? scope ? timing??
  • Supervising the operational activities, with an eye for safety and quality.
  • Managing, motivating and coaching the team on site.
  • Financial follow-up of the project and associated administration.

In this position you will report to the Team Leader and work closely with other Project Engineers & CAD Designer as well as Crane Operators, Riggers and Supervisors on site.PROFILEWe are looking for a driven school leaver with a passion for technology, heavy constructions and heavy lifting. You are a team player who likes to get involved in new projects and does not let go until the project has been successfully realized. You are a born organizer who sets the right priorities. When actions are required, you switch quickly with a solution-oriented attitude and you always communicate clearly and structured to your team. You are customer-oriented, cost-conscious and have strong strategic and analytical insight. You are a people manager who has sufficient assertiveness.PROFILE REQUIREMENTS
  • School leaver - Masters degree in Industrial or Civil Engineering (e.g. electromechanics, architecture?)
  • Strong communication skills: English & Arabic (both oral and written)
  • Fluent with the computer (MS Office, drawing program such as AutoCAD ?)
  • Flexible attitude to tasks, working hours and locations (Middle East/International)
  • Willingness to travel for training purposes initially (Belgium/Bahrain) and project requirements
