Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW:The Head of Security leads and manages the security functions, programs and processes.Ensures the implementation of procedures and programs that safeguard Parsons facilities and occupants of Parsons facilities within the region.As directed by the MEA Region President and the Chief Security Officer, the Head of Security is responsible for coordinating periodic security assessment of client or Joint Venture-operated facilities (including camps and residential facilities) occupied by Parsons employees within the region.The Head of Security is also responsible for providing counsel to management and outsourced security personnel on asset protection, and for investigating issues that threaten the security of our assets, our employees and visitors.What You?ll Be Doing:

  • Reviews and audits security procedures and plans .
  • Maintains relationships with diplomatic security personnel, security organizations and roundtables, and other security professionals within the region.
  • Provides regular updates (written and verbal) to Parsons Security and/or senior management on risk levels and analysis, including information on current crimes, terrorist threats, and health and/or public safety issues.
  • Investigates, or oversees the investigation of, incidents or threats involving Parsons personnel including dependents in the region
  • Assists in the identification and selection of security providers for Parsons owned or operated facilities; ensures that employee/vendor security training occurs, as appropriate.
  • Reviews, recommends and implements policies and procedures relating to the internal and external integrity of security systems and personnel.
  • Ensures effective operation of security and equipment and devices procured by Parsons to include badging and access control equipment.
  • Develops staffing plans as required and ultimately identify appropriate security and safety vendors, and manages those relationships.
  • Coordinates and supports the implementation of global facility security standards.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
  • Key stakeholder of the MEA Business Continuity Team
  • Coordinates executive protection details for visiting executives and dignitaries.
  • Assists GBU proposal teams by writing security plans and visiting project sites where Parsons employees work or reside.
  • May serve as a security subject matter expert to support regional client organizations when requested by Parsons? management
