Adecco Middle East?is currently recruiting for a?Head of Risk & Compliance?for one of our client based in?Abu Dhabi, UAE.?The Head of Risk & Compliance is primarily responsible for managing all aspects of risk within client?s?(i.e. its employees, clients, reputation, assets and interests of stakeholders) specific risk areas include, corporate governance, information security, regulatory compliance and operational risk.

SummaryThe Risk Officer and Compliance Officer (CO) are FSRA authorized roles, responsible for managing and maintaining a comprehensive and effective risk management and compliance framework for the company.?As the Risk & Compliance the holder will provide leadership to Governance & Risk across the Firm and advise the Board and senior management of any such risks, including assurance that there are effective and efficient policies and procedures in place, well understood and respected by all employees, and that the company is complying with all regulatory requirements. The holder is responsible for establishing standards and implementing procedures to ensure that the risk and compliance programs throughout the organization are effective and efficient in identifying, preventing, detecting and correcting non-compliance with FSRA laws and regulations.Main Responsibilities
  • Fostering and maintaining a positive and constructive relationship with the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA)
  • Where required, liaise closely with the FSRAA and auditors to foster good communications and jointly identify actions required following inspectors? visits and audits as appropriate.
  • Act as lead adviser on matters relating to risk management and associated disciplines (including corporate governance) to ensure that high and compliant standards exist in the discharge of the Group?s business.
  • Supervising the implementation of the company?s compliance and anti-money laundering monitoring programs.
  • Manages day-to-day operation of the compliance and MLRO function and work closely with the operations and trading functions
  • Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk, develop, and implement corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and provides general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future
  • Proactively audit processes, practices and documents to identify compliance gaps and risks and discuss findings during the Audit, Risk & Compliance Committee (ARCC) meetings.
  • Monthly, quarterly and annual compliance reporting to the Board of Directors.
  • Support the CTO with technology integration with the Firm?s custody arrangements, AML/CTF and surveillance vendors and the FSRA.
  • Co-ordinate Risk work with the MLRO (and first line oversight functions) where appropriate

  • Serve as the main point of contact for Client?s?with FSRA, law enforcement and other
