Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies that align with the company’s goals across capital markets, private equity, and diversified business units.Conduct in-depth financial analysis to guide decision-making and strategy in each business segment, maximizing returns on investments.Drive the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, and track performance against budgets.Oversee the Capital Market portfolio, including equities, bonds, and other securities, to optimize risk-adjusted returns.Oversee private equity investments, including due diligence, valuations, and ongoing financial analysis of portfolio companies.Evaluate new investment opportunities in alignment with strategic goals, providing financial insights and ROI projections.Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with IFRS and other relevant regulations.Oversee the consolidation of financial statements for each business segment, producing clear and insightful management reports for executive and Board review.Maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.Implement and continuously improve financial policies, procedures, and controls across businesses to increase operational efficiency.Work closely with cross-functional teams in Schools, Nurseries, Care Homes, Real Estate, and Hospitality to optimize cost control and budget management.Monitor cash flow, manage working capital, and ensure adequate funding for ongoing operations and strategic initiatives.Identify, monitor, and mitigate financial risks across all business units, implementing measures to maintain a secure financial position.Collaborate with the CEO and senior management to strengthen governance practices, ensuring alignment with the companys risk appetite.Oversee insurance and other risk management strategies to protect company assets.Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and professional development.Set clear KPIs and performance objectives for the finance team, conducting regular evaluations and feedback sessions.Promote cross-functional collaboration to enhance the finance function’s impact on overall company performance.Analyze market trends, occupancy rates, and revenue performance in Real Estate and Hospitality to make data-driven recommendations.Support growth in Real Estate through strategic acquisitions, development, and asset management.Communicate financial performance, projections, and key metrics to the CEO, Board, and external stakeholders.Coordinate with banks and financial institutions to secure financing and manage relationships with investors.
