Gynecology Specialist - (210000A2)Description

  1. ORGANIZATIONALSTRUCTURE:
    1. REPORT TO: Head of Department
    2. RESPONSIBLE FOR: Obstetric and Gynecological services ofthe hospital
    3. LIAISES WITH: Patients and their families,Physicians, Specialists, Nurses and Ancillary personnel, Medical Administrator, Quality Coordinator,Heads of all departments and Staff.
  2. JOB SUMMARY:Carriesout obstetrician and gynecologic health care, both on an in-patient andout-patient basis, for those patients designated as being entitled to such careby.
  3. DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES:
    1. Will perform professional duties as anobstetrician/gynecologist
    2. Providing surgical care both in theoperating room and in the O.P.D. for gynecologic and obstetric conditions forboth emergency and planned procedures.
    3. Covering the Delivery Room to includeadmitting patients, reviewing their history, planning a course of action,performing both spontaneous and operative deliveries, and interacting withmidwives.
    4. Covering the Emergency Service bypromptly responding to calls for consultation.
    5. Providing out-patient care in Clinics,when so assigned by the head of department.
    6. Working evenings, nights, week-ends andholidays according to a schedule compiled by the head of department.
    7. Doing and interpreting ultrasoundexaminations both in hospital and on an out-patient basis.
    8. Interpreting fetal heart rate monitoringand taking appropriate action.
    9. Carrying out formal and informalconsultations from physicians from other departments.
    10. Attending committee meetings when soassigned by the Head of department.
    11. Interacting with patients families tokeep them informed of the patients condition, changes in condition and plans.
    12. Monitors clinical and other establishedindicators to ensure ongoing quality assurance.
    13. Strictly observes organization?s medicalregulations and policies especially those related to infection control, patientsafety, patient assessment and patient care.
    14. Carrying out other duties when requestedby the Head of department.
    15. Comply with all OSH and infectioncontrol policies, standards and procedures and cooperate with hospitalmanagement to comply those requirements
