Job Description

The governess/nanny will be a full-time/ live-out position. The candidate will have full responsibility for overseeing both the formal and informal education of the children in her care (Ages: 8, 7 & 4).As well as tutoring in all aspects of the curriculum. She will also help with the social and cultural development of the children, encourage self-awareness and creativity, and promote good manners and etiquette. The candidate should have a teaching degree or a higher education background.Duties:

  • To accompany the children and assist them throughout their day.
  • To supervise and lead the nannies.
  • Ability to create and prepare activities focused on the unique needs of the individual children in their care.
  • Following the child?s progression in school, curriculum and tutoring in appropriate subjects.
  • Fostering the child?s educational, social, and creative development.
  • Organizing outside activities such as educational outings; museums, art galleries, theatre visits and sporting activities.
  • Teaching specialist activities such as musical instruments, a language or sport.
  • Liaising with the parents, other tutors, and the nanny regarding objectives, progress, and development.
  • Teaching manners and etiquette to help develop social skills.
The governess/nanny will be expected to work ten hours per day, six days a week with flexibility. The salary offer will range between 20,000 and 25,000 AED depending on the qualification and experience. Accommodation and mode of transportation will be provided as well as health insurance.
