POSITION PURPOSEThe General Technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain hotel facility equipment according to safety, preventive and reactive maintenance systems. Keepall equipment in good repair with a minimum of downtime by providing day-to-day maintenance of the hotel. Continually work towards and support the improvement of engineering service to guests, other departments and fellow staffs. He should be knowledgeable in Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, ELV systems and basic knowledge of painting and carpentry. SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Communication skills
  • Able to pull, push, lift equipment with all safety and able to climb on ladder, work on elevated platforms etc.
  • General Electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry and painting knowledge
  • Equipment performance focus
  • Hands on problem solving skills
  • Ability to multi tasks in busy environment
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:EducationEngineering diploma or High school diploma/GED required. ExperienceMinimum 2 years experience in a similar role with a good understanding of English both written and oral. More experience preferred.
