Repair and maintain carpets and other floor coverings.
Repairs to furniture, fixtures and fittings in located around the site.
Install or replace door and cabinet locks.
Ensure that preventive maintenance and other repairs are being done to standard/specifications.
Construct cabinets from raw materials when required.
Disassemble and reassemble office furniture to facilitate moving from one location to another.
Carry out repairs to all types of wooden furniture/cabinets where necessary.
Install, replace and repair door closers when necessary.
Planned maintenance duties as required.
Other duties as required.
Required to work hours to meet operational needs.
ESSENTIAL:
Good level of English and strong communication skills are essential (verbal, listening, writing).
Minimum 3 years of experience in the engineering and maintenance or associated professional area; technical training in the field of carpentry works.
Experience working within engineering or similar environment.
Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings or other structures such as walkways, parking lots, and site facilities.
Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
Previous experience selecting appropriate materials, measuring, cutting to size and assembling cabinets etc.
Experience in small installation works such as doors and door furniture etc.
