Youll provide technical leadership, working closely with the wider team to ensure high quality code is delivered in line with the project goals and delivery cycles. Youll work closely with designers to deliver rapid prototypes as well as production code for which youll ensure high accessibility standards are upheld. We expect familiarity with modern frameworks and languages, as well as working practices such as Clean Code, TDD, BDD, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and DevOps. Education, Experience and Required Skills Education Bachelors degree in relevant field (Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related preferred) Experience Experience building user facing web applications and detailed knowledge of JavaScript, CSS and modern frontend frameworks, libraries and methodologies. Experience presenting work at user groups, business and to peers. Experience of prototyping and working closely with end users to iterate a product. Experience of designing and consuming REST APIs. Experience of building and scaling high-traffic websites. Experience mentoring or helping colleagues optimize their code. Detailed understanding and experience of front-end web development (HTML/CSS/JS, NodeJS). Understanding of and experience with a range of approaches to testing application code and systems for behaviour and performance (any of Selenium, Geb, Wiremock, Gatling, Sauce Labs). Experience working with UI and UX designers and translating designs to production code. Experience of working with JavaScript libraries. Experience building server-side web applications and ensure all software built is robust and scalable. Essential Skills Technical Skills Required (Insert Level of Expertise Here) Knowledge of relational and non-relational database systems. System administration and configuration management skills.
