1. Job PurposeTo provide food preparation support to the National Aquarium.2. Nature & ScopeThe job holder will be responsible for ensuring that all food required for The National Aquarium is prepared and organized on a daily basis.3. DimensionsInteracts with the curatorial team to ensure the specific animal diet is achieved on a daily basis.4. Principal Accountabilities? All animal food for the Aquarium is prepared on a daily basis in time for daily operations and shows.? All food preparation areas are well maintained and all equipment failures are reported.? All food preparation areas are kept clean and tidy at all times.? Ensure that fish feeding containers are filled on a daily basis in time for daily operations.? All food used is recorded and records passed onto the exhibits supervisor.? The fridge and freezer are maintained in an orderly manner.? Performs and follows food inventory and ensures supply reporting to the |Senior Aquarist? Receiving of food stocks from the supplier.? Follows Health and Safety Protocols.? Ensures correct daily record keeping.? Ensure all rubbish is removed on a daily basis.? Assist Aquarist as needed.? Other duties as directed by the Aquarist Supervisor.
