Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Fit out Estimation Engineer to join our team. The Fit-out Estimation Engineer will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs and resources required for fit out projects, including interior renovations, refurbishments, and installations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and fit out projects, excellent analytical and mathematical skills, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive and competitive estimates.

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of fit out project requirements, including site visits and assessments.
  • Review architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation to understand the scope and requirements of fit out projects.
  • Collaborate with the design and project management teams to develop accurate and competitive cost estimates for fit out projects.
  • Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and material and labor requirements based on project specifications and industry standards.
  • Source and obtain pricing from suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors for materials, equipment, and services needed for fit out projects.
  • Analyze and compare quotes, negotiate pricing, and select the most cost-effective options without compromising quality.
  • Create and maintain a comprehensive database of historical cost information, including labor rates, material costs, and subcontractor pricing.
  • Identify and quantify potential risks, contingencies, and variations that may impact project costs and timelines.
  • Collaborate with the project management team to develop project budgets, schedules, and resource allocations based on the estimated costs.
  • Participate in bid preparation and tendering processes, including the review of tender documents, preparing technical and commercial proposals, and attending pre-bid meetings.
  • Provide support during the contract negotiation phase, ensuring that the estimated costs align with project budgets and client expectations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, construction methodologies, and material advancements to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of fit out estimations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, project managers, and procurement, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment throughout the estimation process.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline estimation processes and enhance cost accuracy.
