We serve government, corporate and social sector clients across a wide array of industries and focus areas.In addition, APCO?s globalAI Comms Lab, a first-of-its-kind innovation center which utilizes artificial intelligence to build and protect the reputations of major global brands, governments and organizations is driven from the Dubai office.The translator role is to interprets English written content into Arabic by ensuring meaning and context are maintainedPrimary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reads through or listens to material in English language, ascertains understanding of the meaning and context of that material, and converts it into Arabic, making sure to preserve the original meaning
  • Translates online, videos from English to Arabic
  • Consults with subject matter experts and other colleagues in order to understand specialized concepts and translate them appropriately
  • Refers to online translation tools for additional assistance with translation
  • Provides clients with quotes based on project length and level of complexity
  • Follows up with clients to ensure satisfaction and understanding
  • Adheres to industry quality standards established by the Association of Translation Companies to ensure that all completed work follows legal and ethical obligations
  • Translates a variety of documents including literary, legal, research, technical, scientific, educational, and commercial materials from English to Arabic

Requirements
  • Bachelor?s Degree in Translation or Equivalent
  • 3-5 years of experience as a translator from English to Arabic
  • Prior Content writing experience
Work Conditions The physical abilities needed to perform the duties of this position, in addition to the office climate:
  • Office environment is general office setting
  • Some travel may be required
  • Must reside in Abu Dhabi or be willing to relocate
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
