Job Description

PURPOSE -Develops, modifies, sustains and supports engineering outputs to ensure they meet; industry, customer and Weatherford requirements.-Executes engineering projects; on time, on budget with respect to input specification and planning.-Supports manufacturing projects; on time, on budget with respect to quality control plans and delivery schedules.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proactively supports engineering projects; on time, on budget with respect to input specification and planning.
  • Proactively supports manufacturing deliverables and efficiencies in alignment with service quality and service delivery QA/QC requirements.
  • Proactively supports facility development, matenance and sustainability required to efficiently execute deliverables.
  • Proactively supports technology transfer and associated management of change (MoC) projects.
  • Proactively supports design for manufacture via collaboration with manufacturing and supply chain functions, ensuring product quality and cost targets are met.
  • Prepares new and existing product design packages, specifications and manufacturing work instructions in alignment with process, ensuring standards and requirements are met, maintained and sustained.
  • Attends cross functional and customer design reviews for new and existing products.
  • Produces, develops, maintains, sustains standardized engineering data and documentation.
  • Plans, prepares and executes product test protocols and procedures.
  • Produces, develops, maintains and sustains high quality technical documentation to support other functions engagement and quality of services on associated products.
  • Prepares detailed technical reports as necessary to support internal and external customer communications and understanding of events.
  • Dispositions NCR?s, troubleshoots, supports CPAR?s and associated root cause analysis.
  • Provides manual assistance in the process of assembly & testing of new and existing products.
  • Proactively identifies any opportunities for improvement (OFI) regarding design, planning, manufacturing and associated processes.
  • Proactively trains, develops and supports global manufacturing teams via the delivery of effective training and competency content associated with new products.
  • Ensures product data, documentation and associated toolboxes are clean, standardized and ready to support efficient supply chain, manufacturing and field operations.
  • Proactively supports vendor development and associated vendor management challenges.
  • Proavtively mitigates component obsolescence risk via close collaboration with vendor network, supply chain, manufacturing and engineer functions.
SAFETY & COMPLIANCEAdhere to all Weatherford QHSSE policies and procedures.Adhere to all Customer QHSSE policies and procedures.Contribute to safety meetings & culture.Report task specific and area risk assessments.Develop and maintain procedures and work instructions ensuring full compliance to HSE and quality expectations.Train and develop in accordance with defined training structure and competency system.FINANCEResponsible for the planning and assessment of cost implications of design changes or new designs, informing projected costs to line managementOn time, on budget delivery for all assigned projects.Responsible for reporting of monthly planned v actual progress of assigned projects.
