Job Description

Job Title: Electrical InspectorLocation: Abu DhabiJob Type: Full-timeJob Overview:We are seeking an experienced Electrical Inspector to perform inspections and quality checks on electrical systems and equipment on construction projects. The Electrical Inspector will be responsible for ensuring compliance with project specifications and requirements, identifying and reporting defects, and providing technical support to project teams.Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspections and quality checks on electrical systems and equipment, including power, lighting, low voltage, and other electrical systems
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and regulations
  • Review and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
  • Identify and report defects, non-conformance, and other issues to project managers and contractors
  • Assist with the development of inspection and testing plans and procedures
  • Provide technical support to project teams and contractors as needed
  • Review and approve electrical submittals and shop drawings
  • Perform site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with project requirements
  • Prepare inspection reports and maintain accurate records of inspection activities
  • Attend project meetings and provide updates on inspection activities and progress
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in electrical inspection, preferably in a consultancy or engineering environment
  • Familiarity with electrical systems and equipment, including power, lighting, low voltage, and other electrical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with inspection and testing plans and procedures
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal
