Carries out responsible and varied engineering assignments requiring general familiarity with the relevant discipline and knowledge of reciprocal effects on other disciplines. Analyses technical documents and proposes solutions based upon industrial principles and practical experience. Works independently to develop/adapt drawings, documents and databases based upon a combination of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments. Difficult, complex or unusual decisions are usually left to more senior engineers.Responsibilities

• Able to prepare basic and detailed electrical engineering documents for industrial projects, to include layouts, cabling, earthing, lightning protection and equipment layouts. Having previous experience in District Cooling Project is an advantage.
• Able to understand, select and specify low voltage systems such as MV/LV transformers, LV switchgears and Motor Control Centres, UPS and Battery System etc. Having knowledge and experience in MV switchgear and MV starters is an advantage.
• Able to understand and review vendor (equipment manufacturer?s) documents for above mentioned equipment in line with the specifications and project requirements.
• Able to review contractor?s documents, calculations and shop drawings for industrial installations having MV and LV equipment, comment/approval of these documents.
• Able to design and prepare design documents for building services systems such as lighting and small power systems, main and submain distribution, load schedules, cable sizing, routing, layouts, etc. in accordance with local and international codes.
• Competent user of discipline specific tools for calculations and design such as Dialux, Amtech and/or ETAP.
• Having knowledge in BIM modelling or understanding digital delivery is preferred.
• Prepare/adapt new or existing drawings and documents for project specific objectives. Check and validate drawings and documents prepared by others.
• Analyze, interpret and apply codes, standards and specifications to the work. Make engineering decisions based upon the analysis.
• Identify and communicate impacts of own work, or that of an assigned team, on other disciplines. Interface / coordinate regularly with other disciplines.
• Deliver cross-function deliverables to include technical evaluations, recommendations, engineering requisitions for systems within own discipline.
• Contribute to project and/or departmental meetings, technical reviews and safety reviews.
• Demonstrate time management and budget awareness through management of blocks of engineering hours encompassing multiple tasks/deliverables.
• Be a team player and be able to accomplish the assigned tasks within the stipulated schedule.
• Assume other duties as may be required by the company from time to time.
