Job Description

The ideal candidate will execute dredging activities related to, dredging, reclamation projects within deadline and budget available. Ensure high quality, safety and environmental standards.Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain the geotechnical database
  • Calculate dredging and reclamation soil balance
  • Calculate wear on soil conveying dredging parts
  • Create specific soil maps as per requirements
  • Produce soil models for dredging production estimates
  • Create specific soil maps as per requirements
  • Analyze geological and geotechnical data and assist in preparation of geotechnical interpretative reports
  • Perform critical analysis of geological and geotechnical data as input for the dredging models
  • Attend and witness geotechnical investigation campaigns and perform independent in-depth geological description for dredging production purposes
  • Review geological considerations developed by third party consultants
  • Review tender documents related to soil information and reclamation fill and performance requirements
  • Teams up with dredging production engineer to prepare reclamation methodology based on fill and performance requirements
  • Provide soil related qualifications in tender phase
  • Improve and develop dredging production models related to soil effect
  • Monitor dredging and reclamation conditions of projects in execution (Silt content, dredging reclamation factor, dry densities,)
  • Ensure correct data processing as per QA/QC procedure and standards
  • This is a generalist view of a Job that you have been assigned for at times you might be asked to do above/beyond the scope of this role due to Operational requirements.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Geotechnical Engineering or and equivalent professional qualification
  • minimum 2 years in similar industry (Geotechnical Survey, Dredging and Reclamation and Marine construction )
  • Geotechnical Investigation experience
  • Knowledge of geotechnical standards and guidelines
