Job Description

Position: Director of Site Development : MEA Region - Data Center ConstructionLocation - MEA Region: Dubai, Abu Dhabi or any Commercial hub across MEAOur Data Center Provider Client is seeking an experienced leader to oversee the Engineering and Construction functions for our clients Data Center projects. This strategic role involves planning, developing, and managing construction efforts for the Data Center builds and Energy Projects.Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead multiple DC build and Energy Projects across the Middle East and Africa regions, proactively assessing and mitigating risks.
  • Implement and enforce site-level safety practices and protocols.
  • Set project goals and guide projects from development through construction.
  • Enhance procurement processes for equipment.
  • Oversee the pre-qualification of contractors to ensure successful contract execution.
  • Ensure all project objectives meet or exceed safety, quality, cost, environmental, landowner, and legal standards.
  • Establish financial processes to maximize profitability.
  • Run P&L
  • Manage engineering, procurement, and construction functions.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in business in related technical field. Masters degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in infrastructure/ Data Center development
  • Proven leadership skills with a record of growing and influencing effective teams.
  • Expertise in managing procurement strategies.
  • Ability to forecast costs, schedule impacts, and mitigation strategies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of facilitating both business and technical meetings.
  • Proven negotiation and management skills with key contractors, consultants, and suppliers.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute deadline-driven projects with a strong bias for action.
