Design Engineer - Male Emirati National OnlyAbu Dhabi, UAE?Key Accountabilities?1. Supports the Design Director in obtaining information about the site for the concept design.2. Reviews the land affection plan and confirms it or escalates it to Design Director in case of any changes.3. Actively participates in the process of appointment of Design Consultants - prepares brief for consultants, develops evaluation criteria, shortlists the consultants etc.4. Provides inputs (along with Design Director) on Feasibility Study and Development Strategy to Business Development Section.5. Provides technical inputs to Design Consultants with respect to Schematic Design, Detailed Design etc.6. Facilitates the appointment of specialty consultant with the Design Consultant during the schematic design phase.7. Reviews the schematic design, detailed design and ensures all deliverables of the phase are submitted in a timely manner.8. Coordinates with Design Consultants for presentation of their design, development of mock up model and revisions if any.9. Reviews progress of schematic design and detailed design phase and conducts periodic review meetings with consultants.10. Facilitates preparation of Development Appraisal report with the consultants and reviews the same.11. Escalates any anticipated cost overruns (with respect to the budget) to Design Director for his review.12. Identifies the design variations and communicates the same to the Design Consultants.13. Reviews RFCs for variation order and assesses (along with Design Consultant) its impact on design, program, cost & quality.14. Issues Variation Order to Design Consultants after obtaining appropriate approvals.15. Reviews the construction documents as submitted by the Design Consultants and submits it for appropriate approval.16. Reviews the invoices for the Design Consultants and prepares the Payment Certificate.17. Reviews all the documents (of Design Phase) as per the contract and facilitates the process of closure with the Design Consultants.18. Performs any other relevant task as directed by Design Director.
