Design Draughtsperson

Job Description

The Product Development team are responsible for leading new technology development and supporting existing product designs, product modification and equipment installation. The Design Draughts person will be responsible for developing engineering drawings and technical documentation for a range of products and projects in accordance with department processes.<br /><b>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:</b><br />úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Developing designs in line with design request and equipment technical specification<br />úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Developing 3D CAD models in Auto desk Inventor<br />úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Developing 2D CAD models in AutoCAD<br />úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Producing manufacturing, assembly, general arrangement, layout, fabrication, machining, process flow, Piping, and Instrumentation (P&ID) and schematic drawings<br />úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Developing design concepts and solutions to satisfy design request requirements<br />úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Evaluating feasibility of design solutions in consideration of risk, ease of manufacture, cost, and lead time<br />úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Leading, attending, and contributing during design reviews<br />úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Creating and issuing design instructions for the manufacture or modification of products<br />úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Liaising with external vendors and projects team during the manufacturing process to capture and record changes in design documentation<br />úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Reviewing and checking drawings and design documentation<br />úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Performing onshore and offshore dimensional surveys<br />úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Preparing 3D CAD renders for sales and marketing material for supporting new engineering projects<br />úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Ensuring design tasks / outputs are progressed in accordance with product development processes and procedures<br />úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Estimating design task completion timeline<br />úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Communicating design request progress to line manager and key project stakeholders<br />úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Actively promote a positive team working environment within the Product Development and interfacing departments<br />úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Adhering to company QHSE policies and procedure<br />ÿ<br /><b>EXPERIENCE:</b><br />úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ<b> </b><b>5+ years experience in engineering design and draughting</b><br />úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Competent in AutoCAD and Auto desk Inventor<br />úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Capable of carrying out dimensional surveys<br />úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Ability to work alone or part of a team<br />úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Working in accordance with design standards<br />úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Draughting in accordance with technical drawing standards<br />úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Prioritizing conflicting workloads<br />úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Excellent written and verbal communication skills<br />úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ 2D AutoCAD<br />úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ 3D Autodesk Inventor<br />úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Highly organized and able to manage competing demands<br />úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Ability to work independently<br />úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Dedicated to promoting a positive image of the company<br />úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Ensures that important information is shared with employees and others as appropriate<br />úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Gives and receives constructive feedback<br />ÿ<br />ÿ<br />ÿ<br />ÿ<br /><br /><br />Requirements<b><br /></b><b>úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Appropriate qualifications in engineering draughting are mandatory</b><b><br /></b><b>úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Mechanical OR Structural Engineering Qualificationsÿ</b><b><br /></b><b>úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Chartered or working towards BOSIET / MIST</b><b><br /></b><b>úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ UAE Driving License</b><b><br /></b><br /><br /><br />
