Job Description

The Demand Response Section Head is responsible for providing insight, technical and methodological expertise in shaping and developing demand response (DR) policies and strategies (including utility/municipality size aggregators, industrial aggregators, industrial demand/supply trading, consumer peak demand shifting, and the use of renewable energy in the generation mix) across all sectors, including residential, commercial, government, industrial, and agriculture, and in line with the vision and goals of the Company.

  • Provide a robust, evidence-based, and cost-effective design to respond to demand in collaboration with government and private sector stakeholders.
  • Provide unbiased, reliable information and insights into the peak shifting and small pond filling issues.
  • Support the implementation of demand response policies, programs, and initiatives by providing technical assistance as needed.
  • Provide advice and raise awareness about demand response issues.
  • Manage the process of developing and drafting water sector policies (including volume-based utility/municipal complexes, industrial complexes, industrial demand/supply circulation, peak consumer demand conversion, and the use of renewable energy in the generation mix), as well as documenting and distributing policy information based on applicable laws, company strategy, and best practices.
  • Contribute to the development of demand response policies and strategies, tariff reform, and subsidy programs by ensuring that tariff policies and strategies are consistent with the governments social and economic objectives.
