Job Description

The Canadian Business Council (CBC) of Abu Dhabi is a not-for-profit membership based organization. We are one of the most active business councils in Abu Dhabi with a mandate to promote, encourage and facilitate the exchange of business between Canada and the UAE.CBC is looking for a positive, passionate, entrepreneurial and energetic individual to join their team as Community & Stakeholder Relations Manager. Reporting directly to the Chair of the CBC, the successful candidate will be stationed in Abu Dhabi and will manage the development and execution of community and stakeholder engagement plans on behalf of the CBC. In addition, the Community & Stakeholder Relations Manager will assist in maintaining, attracting and acquiring new members and sponsors (both individual and corporate). He or she will also play an instrumental role in the organization of CBC events and marketing activities.Key Responsibilities

  • Grow CBC membership and sponsorship.
  • Research, contact and follow up with potential corporate and individual members.
  • Retain and upgrade existing sponsors and members.
  • Review and provide recommendations on membership and sponsorship package structures.
  • Organize (and occasionally moderate) CBC events and programs, such as seminars, webinars, trade missions and networking events. ? Represent CBC at various third party events, such as conferences and receptions.
  • Support the Chair and the Board of Directors by providing relevant reports to the concerned committees and Board.
  • Provide required information to update communication channels e.g. website and social media.
  • Support marketing activities related to CBC website and social media sites maintenance.
