Job Description

Job OverviewProvides direction and management for medium to large-sized projects and ensures on-schedule completion within or below budget in accordance with contractual obligations. The Commercial manager job description serves as a business leader, overseeing day-to-day operations and focusing on the long-term interests of the business. Pursues new business opportunities and manages functions such as, employee activities and evaluations, and other matters related to operations. Plays an essential role in corporate management. Must be familiar with the integration of engineering/technical aspects, as well as procurement and construction activities.Job Duties

  • Develop projects risk assessments and cost structures to work toward commercial efforts. Financial planning and budgeting is an essential aspect of this job.
  • Responsible for overseeing staff, suppliers, and contractors to ensure that deadlines are met. If issues arise with contractors, commercial managers work with them to resolve the problem as quickly as possible not to affect the schedule.
  • Make sure stakeholders adhere to and understand contractual obligations and determine when processes violate regulations. They assess risks and make recommendations based on analysis of all factors affecting a business situation.
