Clinical PsychologistDOH / HAAD LicenseMinimum of 5-7 Years of experience Maximum Notice Period: 1 Month Salary 20000AED-25000AED Job Location : Abu DhabiJOB SUMMARY: This position reports directly to the Head of the Department in accordance with the organization chart. His/her administrative and supervising responsibilities are limited to his/her field expertise.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Diagnoses or evaluates mental and emotional disorders of individuals and administers programs of treatment, interviews patients in clinics, hospitals, and other settings and studies medical and social case histories.2. Observes patients in various situations; selects, administers, and interprets intelligence, personality, or other psychological tests to diagnose disorders and formulate plans of treatment, and provides consultation to other mental health professionals regarding test results.3. Treats psychological disorders to effect improved adjustments utilizing various psychological techniques; selects appropriate treatment approach and plans frequency, intensity, and duration of individual, group, and family therapies.4. Assesses patient progress and modifies treatment programs; accordingly, communicates with and counsels family members as appropriate.5. Documents therapy in accordance with policies and procedures regarding medical records; implements and adheres to policies which ensure patient confidentiality.6. Provides crisis intervention in situations requiring immediate psychological treatment.7. Participates in educational programs, in-service meetings, clinician meetings, and workshops to enhance professional development and maintain currency of methodology and techniques.8. Instruct and direct students serving psychological internships in hospitals.9. Provides psychological consultations to other mental health professionals within hospitals, clinics, and other community-based agencies with regard to clients and/or patient care.10. May develop and implement clinical research programsQUALITY RESPONSIBILITIES1. Abides by regulatory and accreditation requirements.2. Attends committee and management meetings as appropriate.3. Awareness and compliance to all policies and procedures regarding department operations, fire, safety, and infection control4. Accountable for reporting any untoward incidents in the Hospital to Quality department through Occurrence Variance reporting.5. Responsible for assisting in assessing Hospital Risks that may lead to untoward incidents.6. Responsible to report the Monthly key performance Indicators and Jawda KPIs to Quality department if nominated for the same.Code of Conduct:1. Work at maintaining a good rapport and cooperative working relationship with physicians, departments, and staff.14. Keep your patients records confidential, and use the information obtained during your professional practice only for the purposes for which it was given, or where it is otherwise lawful.15. Ensure that there is no disclosure of any patient information without consent, except where it is required or permitted by law or if it is required to protect your patient or others from harm.16. The employees are expected to work within the various rules, regulations and guidelines of the section and Department in which they work.17. Ensure compliance with policies and procedure regarding department operations, fire and safety and infection control.18. Effectively and consistently communicates with administrative personnel and encourage interactive departmental meetings and discussions.19. Complies with organizational policies regarding ethical business practices.20. Communicates the mission ethics and goals as well as the focus statement of the department.21. Actively participate along with line management towards implementation of OSHMS requirements.22. Report to the respective manager any potentially hazard, unsafe act or condition, which may cause OSH impacts. 23. Report all OSH hazard, near miss and incidents to the respective line manageQUALIFICATION:RequiredBachelors/masters degree in Specialty or equivalent.EXPERIENCE:At least 5 years after getting a higher qualification in a hospital or similar organization in his field of specialization.SKILLS/COMPETENCIESREQUIRED1.
