A leading bank in Abu Dhabi, UAE is seeking an experienced Chief Risk Officer (CRO) to lead its Enterprise Risk Management function and ensure the Bank maintains a strong, compliant, and effective risk management framework in line with Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and continuously enhance the Bank's Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Framework.Oversee Credit Risk, Operational Risk, Market & Liquidity Risk, and Enterprise Risk Management functions.Monitor credit portfolio quality, credit concentration, delinquency trends, and Non-Performing Loans (NPLs).Ensure compliance with CBUAE regulations, Basel III/IV requirements, and internal risk policies.Lead stress testing, ICAAP, business continuity, disaster recovery, and recovery planning activities.Oversee third-party and outsourcing risk assessments.Prepare and present comprehensive risk reports to Executive Management, the Board Risk Committee, and the Board of Directors.Develop and monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and enterprise-wide risk assessments.Coordinate with Compliance, Legal, Internal Audit, and other key stakeholders to strengthen the Bank's governance framework.SkillsRequirementsBachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Risk Management, or a related field.Master's Degree is preferred.Professional certifications such as FRM, PRM, CFA, CAMS, CIA, or ERM are highly desirable.Minimum 15 years of banking experience, including at least 5 years in a senior Risk Management leadership role.Strong experience in Basel III/IV, Enterprise Risk Management frameworks, ICAAP, stress testing, and regulatory reporting.Proven experience working with the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) and regulatory authorities.Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, communication, negotiation, and Board-level presentation skills.
