Job Description

Title:Buyer - UAE National

  • Responsible for expediting delivery of goods and materials to meet the delivery dates as set out in the Purchase Orders.
  • Expedite supplier document submission and necessary approvals.
  • Review monthly progress reports and arrange weekly/bi-weekly meetings with supplier to monitor the progress.
  • Wherever slippages are noticed, identify necessary mitigation/measures and ensure it is implemented to avoid delays in delivery.
  • Liaise with QA/QC team for quality documents review and arrange inspection with supplier as per approved ITP.
  • Monitor packages to identify potential improvements in delivery times and highlight to the team for discussion.
  • Coordinate required shipping documentation between Supplier and Shipping company to ensure shipment takes place to set delivery schedules.
  • Understands the details and implications of PO Terms and Conditions.
  • Update and issue procurement status report for the purchase orders being expedited.
  • In the Pre-order stage, co-ordinate technical clarifications on supplier offers and ensure Technical Bid Evaluation is issued on time.
  • Understands the importance of an audit trail and the required documentation to ensure the trail is proper and complete.
  • Ensure all operations comply with the Company and Client operating policies and procedures.
  • Proficient in Computer Applications including word processing and spreadsheet applications (MS Word & Excel)
