Job Description

The mission of the GCOO Business Management function is to make the GCOO function an enabler of technology and state-of-art processing for our business lines to better serve existing and potential FAB customers, globally. Group Chief Operating Officers Business Management department entails 6 critical functions:

  1. FABRIC (FABs Research and Innovation Center) for providing the innovation tools and instilling the innovation culture in the way FAB operates while spearheading the exploration for the cutting-edge tech in banking
  2. GCOO Program Management for large transformational programs related to Group Tech and Group Operations
  3. GCOO Business Process Management for Process reengineering, Operations Support and group-wide process documentation
  4. GCOO Shared Services governance and performance management for in/out-sourced centralized operations activities
  5. GCOO Financial Performance tracking and reporting for all departments
  6. GCOO Strategy & Planning for steering Tech and Operations teams into the direction set by the Bank leadership and Group Strategy and aligning goals and team structures accordingly.
Key Accountabilities
  • Support the definition and formalization of FAB Tech Strategy based on FAB Group Strategy, diagnosis of the status quo and resource constraints.
  • Support the definition of actionable roadmap (plan) for strategy implementation and collaborate with N-2 to secure ownership of initiatives.
  • Monitor the strategy implementation and report progress, producing material for relevant meetings.
  • Support the revision and monitoring of N-2 KPIs for GCOO based on strategy set.
  • Monitor effectiveness and performance across sub-divisions and collaborate with HR for implementation of organizational changes required both in terms of role changes and capacity

  • Review all Tech and Ops portfolio projects and advise on strategic value add/ relevance.
  • Support the continuous development and effective delivery of GCOOs strategic ambitions in a fast paced.
  • Support the revision and monitoring of N-2 KPIs for GCOO based on strategy set (GCOO score-card).
  • Monitor effectiveness and performance across sub-divisions and collaborate with HR for implementation of organizational changes required both in terms of role changes and capacity.
  • Promote the organisations values and ethics in all activities within the team in order to support the establishment of a value drive culture within the bank.
QualificationsMinimum Qualification
  • Bachelors degree in Economics, Technology or Business Administration.
Minimum Experience
  • 5-7+ years of experience in banking, technology or operations.
  • Consulting back-ground preferable.
Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes
  • Strong analytical and problem skills, with a proven track record in a strategy role (preferably in the financial industry).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
