JOB PURPOSE: To provide compliance advisory support to the GM and GT business lines by ensuring compliance with the rules, regulations and best practice.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Job Specific Accountabilities

• Assist the VP, Compliance for GM and GT in discharging the following responsibilities:
• Play an integral role with other Compliance GM and GT team members in establishing and building synergies with GM and GT business lines so that advice, policies and procedures remain effective and fit for purpose
• Align with the tactical and strategic intent for Compliance Surveillance.
• Provide integral advice and support to the GT business line whilst ensuring the Compliance Plan aligns to the business strategy
• Collaborate and build partnerships with key stakeholders in Compliance and other business lines at Head Office but also where applicable, International locations
• Execute assigned Compliance Monitoring Plan items
• Ensure periodic reports are transposed in a timely manner to the Central Bank, UAE
• Establish and lead the implementation of enhanced metrics reporting for Compliance GM and GT
• Provide compliance advice to GM and GT business on regulatory developments, policy initiatives, projects, new business initiatives and process improvements.
• In conjunction with other internal stakeholders, manage the assessment and implementation of new, material changes to regulations as well as extraterritorial regulations (EMIR / MIFID/ DFA/Volcker etc?) applicable to the Global Market business in FAB.
• Maintain and build an effective relationship with GM and GT business lines so that effective escalation of issues is achieved and risks are managed.
• Provide key training to GM and GT teams
• Collaborate with various stakeholders (e.g. Regulatory Compliance, Compliance TMG etc?) and work to harmonize BAU and efficiency measures
• Assist in the development, implementation and execution of a Risk-Based Compliance review programme that will provide assurance of compliant and non-compliant activities across GM & GT Business.
• Participate in key compliance initiatives and monitor compliance related projects for GM & GT Business
• Execute other duties as directed by the VP, Compliance GM & GT.
• The role holder will be expected to assist key stakeholders (primarily: Their Business Line, Compliance Control Room and Group HR) to ensure Conflicts of Interest and FABs Code of Conduct policies and protocols are upheld. The role holder will also partner and advise the aforementioned on; conflicts management, policy, process, procedure and breach escalation, including but not limited to core themes such as; Gifts, Entertainments, Personal Account Dealing, Outside Business Interests/Activities, Material Deals and Information Walls.

• Bachelor?s degree or higher in management, banking, finance, preferably with certification in compliance

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in the banking industry
• A minimum of 5 years of compliance experience in Global Market Compliance.
• Good technical skills ? All Microsoft offerings including exposure and understanding of VBA and building macros
• Good understanding on Regulations and best practice in relation to Treasury
• Project management experience and exposure
• Excellent understanding of regional / international laws and regulations pertaining to Global Markets
• Strong interpersonal, people management and facilitation skills with good leadership skills.
• Team player, able to meet tight deadlines and manage challenging workload.
• Focused on driving tasks to completion with pace, whilst retaining a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
