Job Description

Job PurposePerform and lead the conduct of Health, Safety and Environment Management System (HSEMS) audit activities as required; coordinate all audit tracking and scheduling with internal and external audit resourcesto ensure that the Company?s HSE Standards, Procedures and Codes of Practice are in line with the HSE Management System.Job Specific Accountabilities (Part 1)? Develop and update the ADNOC CoP on HSEMS Auditing in line with the International Standards and monitor its adequate implementation throughout ADNOC and the Group of Companies.? Audit the performance of ADNOC Group of Companies? HSE Management System, Project HSE Plans and Health, Safety & Environmental Impact Assessment (HSEIA).? Review, study, and provide inputs for the update of the Company?s HSE Management System?s Standards, Policies & Procedures.? Research, conduct analyses, and evaluate newly updated or introduced HSE Standards and Regulations, for interpretation and integration into the Company?s HSE Management System as applicable.? Provide expert advice, guidance, support and assistance on all issues related to implementation of Corporate HSE Standards, Regulations and Codes of Practice, and adapting them as required, to the specificity of the various company sites.? Keep updated on the changes in the International level best practices and standards on HSEMS, provide necessary advice to ADNOC and Group Company.? Review/audit the administration of the HSE document Management, control and maintenance of the register of all HSE documentation i.e. Policies, Procedures, Manuals, Design Philosophies, Plans, Guides etc.? Review the HSEMS Self Assessments conducted by the Group Companies and conduct verification audits to confirm the compliance level.? Identify the gaps in implementation of HSE Management System and proposes improvement opportunities and recommendations.? Prepares audit reports. Analyses the trends and provides periodic updates to the management on the effectiveness of implementation of the company?s HSE management system.? Provide input for preparation of the Function / Division / Department / Section budgets, assist in the implementation of the approved Budget, and work plans to deliver business objectives.? Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures? Implement approved Function / Division / Department / Section policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the work programs in line with Company and International standards.? Comply with all applicable legislation and legal regulations.Performance Management? Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Function / Division / Department / Section in line with the Company Performance framework.Innovation and Continuous Improvement? Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.? Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with best industry standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability? Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of PracticesReports? Provide inputs to prepare MIS and progress reports for Company ManagementGeneric Accountabilities (continue)Internal Communications & Working RelationshipsRegular contacts with the employees and the concerned management staff of the OPCOs and their contractorsExternal Communications & Working Relationships? UAE/Abu Dhabi regulators, governmental agencies and ADNOC shareholders? International Organizations/Institutions for HSE regulations and standardsMinimum QualificationBachelor?s degree in Environmental Science or Engineering or equivalent. Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills? 9 years of experience in HSE Operations/ compliance/ HSEMS implementation, etc.? Experience in all or at least one of the following fields: Drilling, Upstream Operations, Oil and Gas Construction, Gas Processing Petrochemicals and Refinery Operations.Professional Certifications? Certified lead Auditor from a recognized Association for HSE related standards (OHSAS18001. ISO14001, etc?)? NEBOSH Diploma in HSE Management or Equivalent is addition.Work Condition, Physical effort & Work EnvironmentPhysical Effort? MinimalWork Environment?
